Donald Trump continues a last-minute campaign blitz for Republicans with a stop in Tennessee ahead of Tuesday’s mid-term elections.
U.S. President Donald Trump continued his campaign blitz on Sunday (November 4), addressing thousands of supporters in Tennessee on behalf of Marsha Blackburn, the Republican candidate for Senate.
It was his second rally of the day after earlier appearing in Georgia.
With only two days before mid-term elections, dozens of U.S. congressional and gubernatorial races are still too close to call.
Opinion polls and election forecasters have made Democrats favorites on Tuesday (November 6) to pick up the 23 seats they need to capture a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.
That would enable them to stymie Trump’s legislative agenda and investigate his administration.
But Trump cast doubt on Democrats’ ability to triumph at the polls.
“They may do fine. They may do fine, who knows,” he said. “But, you don’t hear about the wave, the wave is coming. The wave is coming.”
In the final stages of the campaign, Trump has ramped up his hard-line rhetoric on immigration and cultural issues including warnings about a caravan of migrants headed to the border with Mexico and of liberal “mobs.”
In Tennessee, he urged supporters to get out and vote.
“Our opponents are stuck in the past while we are rebuilding and going into America’s great future,” he said. “You need to vote for a Republican House and a Republican Senate so we can continue this incredible movement, the greatest political movement in the history of our country, it is.”
As of Sunday morning, almost 34.4 million people had cast ballots early, according to the Election Project at the University of Florida, which tracks turnout.
That is up 67.8 percent from the 20.5 million early votes cast in all of 2014, the last federal election when the White House was not at stake.

For brands, the goal of creating trending content isn’t necessary. It could be a shoot-for-the-stars goal, because if one of your videos goes viral, it could end up on the trending page and thus gain significant exposure to your company. However, silly commercials, like those on the Super Bowl, have ended up as trending YouTube videos shortly following their television debut
